What it is
Specspool collects device specifications and normalizes them into one consistent shape: display, platform, memory, cameras, battery, connectivity, and more. You can search for a device and compare devices side by side.
The same data is available through a public REST API, so you can build it into your own product instead of copying specs by hand.
Where the data comes from
Device records are imported from public specification sources and normalized by our importer. Units are converted, free-text values are parsed into structured fields where possible, and values the source doesn't state are left out rather than guessed. Each catalog import gets a revision, which the API returns with list responses.
Specs can contain mistakes. If you spot one, email hello@specspool.com with the device and the field.
The API
The API serves device details, search, brands, categories, trending devices, and comparisons over HTTPS as JSON. Start with the Getting Started guide, look up response fields in the schema reference, and see pricing for the free tier and paid usage.
