How is a "request" counted?
One billable request = one successful response from any endpoint under
/v1/*. Cached responses (served with X-Specspool-Cache: hit) and 4xx/5xx errors are not counted. Bulk endpoints like /v1/devices?ids=... count as a single request regardless of how many devices come back.Is the $0.03 per-request price a promotion or permanent?
$0.03is our launch rate. Customers who sign up during the launch window keep the same rate for at least 12 months, even if public pricing increases. We'll give 60 days' notice before any rate change applies to existing accounts.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes — upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card and ACH for Standard. Enterprise contracts support wire transfer, NET-30, and POs. All billing is handled through Stripe.
What happens if I go over my free quota?
Requests after the 10th return a
402 Payment Requireduntil you add a payment method. We don't auto-upgrade you and we don't bill surprises — you opt in by attaching a card.Do you offer discounts for academic or open-source use?

How fresh is the data?
The full database is rebuilt daily from manufacturer sources, regulatory filings, and verified third-party benchmarks. New device launches are typically indexed within 48 hours of public release.
